A LOVE THAT NEVER DIES is a personal journey by two bereaved parents Jane Harris and Jimmy Edmonds. Their son died in a road accident in SE Asia seven years ago and they now honour him with their own journeys – to Vietnam and place where he died; to Varanasi in India and eventually a road trip across the USA where they meet with other families who have also lost a child, all of whom have found grief variously isolating, transformative yet ultimately life enhancing.

A LOVE THAT NEVER DIES is unique in its story telling, full of insights and a raw honesty made possible only by the fact that both filmmakers and subjects share a common bond. But neither give way to sentimentality or the morose. Instead the film draws us in, past our own fears, to witness remarkable stories of survival - a mother’s attempted suicide, the love story of two parents who only met because of their loss, the struggle of a family who struggle to free themselves of blame for their son’s death.

A LOVE THAT NEVER DIES is a beautiful and poetic film. Big landscapes, some wonderful tracking shots, along with a number of diary entries and an effecting score all combine to leave the viewer with a sense of a journey well travelled, a journey full of hope
